The 2 firms provide specialized private
care services for individuals in their home. Services are reimbursed by state
Medicaid, private insurance or in some cases private pay by the clients.
Services can be provided on a short-term or long-term basis. All services are delivered
in-home providing affordable and timely solutions to care while in their
private home. Services can range from medication reminders, personal care
services such as meal preparation, to limited home health care solutions such
as wound care and catheter services. The demographics for these services
continue to increase as the baby-boomer generation ages and requires in-home
care services. The Company has 175 FTEs and more than 300 part-time employees.
The owner is involved in the business
but is not critical to operations, referral source relationships, and systems.
Each of the multiple locations has a manager on site with all accounting and
corporate functions being handled out of the corporate headquarters. Owner is
willing to stay on for up to 2 years to ensure transition is smooth and
orderly. A buyer will most likely need to have operating experience in this
sector as this requirement affects state contracting requirements.
