Business Description: A
flooring industry, exceptional company with an outstanding reputation and being
dominant in the Resilient Flooring market in its major/populous U.S. region. The Company wholesales via an established
brand name of flooring products – Laminate, Rigid SPC, Floornation Vinyl, and
WPC Luxury Vinyl Plank. The products are
manufactured in Asia at multi-locations and are compliant with applicable U.S.
certifications.
Distribution:
The Company has distributors throughout the U.S. and directly wholesales to
multiple flooring retail stores, primarily in a three-state area in the Western
U.S. The Company performs its own Drayage from the Port of Los
Angeles along with deliveries to all four of its warehouses as well as
customers.
Operational
Strengths: A COO and General Manager
handle the day-to-day operations. The
Company designs its own well-established product line and is a one-stop shop by
also providing quality underlays, trim pieces, MDF baseboards, casings, and
crown moldings. Tariffs on its waterproof
flooring products (50% of revenue) were rolled back in Nov. 2019 retroactively
to Sept. 18 with and resolution to take place later in 2020. The Company is positioning to begin purchasing
product from a Vietnamese based manufacturer.
The Transaction: Owner
will sell 100% of the company or do a recapitalization and retain some equity.
He is willing to remain involved past a normal transition period if needed by a
new partner.
